How It Works
It's Easy To Organise Your Rental
1. Make an initial enquiry
Contact us and tell us the dates you’ve decided on for your adventure, so we can check availability.
2. Answer a few questions
What are your vehicle details?
Next, we’ll need to know some information about your vehicle, so we can check that it is compatible with the roof tents (most are).
Do you already have roof bars?
Roof bars are required to fit the tents safely and securely to your vehicle. Due to the essential safety aspect, the type of bars can be quite specific.
If you don’t already have suitable roof bars fitted, in the majority of cases we can hire and fit the correct roof bars for a small fee of £25 for up to 7 days and £50 for 7 days or over.
Any additional equipment required?
Would you like to hire a Living Pod for your adventure? A fantastic additional space, great for sheltering from the Great British elements and for providing some extra privacy for getting changed or storing extra equipment.
Do you have the basic camping gear that you’ll need? If not, we can help. As outlined on our what we offer page, we can hire you a camping gear basics pack. This costs only £15 per night and includes a selection of essential, high quality items to save you from having to source and purchase what you’ll need. Just let us know if you would like to book this as an extra.
3. We can finalise your booking
We will calculate the total cost of your booking. This includes the roof tent hire fee for your desired hire period; any fitting fee (if you live more than 20 miles away from us); living pod, roof bars and the camping gear basics pack (if you book them).
Booking and security deposits
At this stage you would need to pay a £50 booking deposit and provide your proof of address and photo ID. Full payment will be required at least 48 hours prior to fitting, along with a £200 security deposit. This will be refunded in full after all equipment has been returned undamaged and in good condition.
FAQs
Any questions? Check out our handy FAQ’s.
When and where will you fit the roof tent?
We will arrange a convenient time to fit the roof tent to your vehicle, at your home address. Please note that I will require a flat level surface to fit the roof tent with a safe space to work around your vehicle.
How long does it take to fit?
Fitting will usually take up to 1 hour (longer if your having roof bars fitted). This includes some short demonstrations of using the equipment (depending on what you have hired).
What are the fitting charges?
We offer FREE fitting if you live up to 20 miles of Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
If you live between 20 and 30 miles from us, a £50 fitting fee is required.
If you live between 30 and 40 miles from us, a £75 fitting fee applies.
Should you live more than 40 miles away, please contact us for a personalised quote and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I take my dog?
Absolutely. We are dog lovers too and we know what a huge part of the family they are. Just ensure that you tidy up after them, for the consideration of other users.
Do you supply bedding?
You will need to supply your own pillows and quilts or sleeping bags. However, our mattresses are supplied with a clean, fitted TentBox sheet for every rental.
How can I pay?
To pay, you will be sent an email with a full breakdown of what you are paying for. That email will include a link to our secure payment processing partner. You will then be emailed a receipt for the payment. This process will be the same for paying deposits and balances.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations 28 days or longer from the booked date receive 100% refund – full £50 booking fee.
Cancellations between 28 days and 14 days receive 50% refund – £25 of the booking fee.
For cancellations that are less than 14 days from the booked dates, the booking fee becomes non-refundable – you will forfeit the £50 booking fee.
